Description

Finnish nature in spring invites everybody to explore its beauty. The cities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area provide outdoor opportunities for their citizens by organizing guided nature tours. The cities will publish a nature tour calendar in print at the beginning of April. The calendar is already available online. The calendar is in Finnish and Swedish. The guided tours are primarily in Finnish, but some tours are conducted in Swedish as well as in Finnish. The tours are free of charge expect when a boat ride is involved. Regular fares apply on boats. Some special tours require registration. Registration instructions can be found in the tour calendar. The tours are open to everybody irrespective of their home city. Participants do not need to be in top physical condition to attend. The printed nature tour calendar will be available from the first week of April onwards at the public information service desks of the cities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, nature centres, the City of Helsinki's public information service Virka-info (at Helsinki City Hall, Pohjoisesplanadi 13) and Helsinki city libraries. Nature tour brochure is available at the Viikki Environment house from the first week of April onwards, Viikinkaari 2a, 1st floor, Monday - Friday 8:15 - 16.
