About this service
Description
An electricity network operator must prepare a preparedness plan to be ready for disruptions in their network, the regulatory measures required for disruptions in electricity supply and the unusual conditions referred to in the Emergency Powers Act. To support the preparedness of network operators, the Energy Authority has prepared guidelines and templates for disruptions in normal conditions and unusual conditions as referred to in the Emergency Powers Act.
How to use it
Prepare a preparedness plan in accordance with the instructions on preparedness planning. You can use the template prepared by the Energy Authority to prepare the plan. The preparedness plan must include: * a free-form preparedness plan which the network operator follows to prepare for disruptions to normal network conditions * a free-form contingency plan which the network operator follows to be ready for the unusual conditions referred to in the Emergency Powers Act * The SÄHKÖKOTKA tool, completed on the basis of the preparedness and contingency plans, which the network operator uses to assess the level of their preparedness in different areas of preparedness. The tool sets development targets for the next three years. You can download the tool from the extranet of the National Emergency Supply Agency. Send the preparedness plan to the Energy Authority’s registry by secured email or as a registered letter.
