About this service
Description
Cultural heritage education introduces children and young people to their own history, environment and shared traditions. In Helsinki, cultural heritage is approached in an inspiring way through museums, urban environment and arts education. The activities may include guided tours, workshops, assignments, digital materials and self-guided exploration. Cultural heritage education supports identity, inclusion and an understanding of different stories – of who we are and where we come from. The activities are part of normal routines at schools and in early childhood education, and they are carried out in cooperation with teachers and educators.
