FLEGT license scheme – import of timber and timber products into the European Union

The FLEGT licence guarantees that the timber and timber products are legally produced.

How to get started: The European Commission has produced an electric system for FLEGT licence processing. The system operates on the “TRACES” platform which requires user registration prior to the first time of use. Operating instructions for importers/forwarding companies in a nutshell: 1. Follow the “FLEGT User Guide” instructions and register as a user. Link to the User Guide in the Commission’s website (https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/cfcas3/tracesnt-webhelp/Content/C_EU%20login/create-a-new-EU-login-account.htm). 2. Pay the licence processing fee in accordance with the instructions (payment instructions). 3. Enter the details of the FLEGT licence in TRACES. 4. Send the original FLEGT licence (Note! The cover page of the licence, “original”), accompanied by a possible attachment for the licence, the contact information form and a payment receipt, to the Finnish Food Authority (contact information form). Postal Address: Finnish Food Authority/FLEGT licences P.O box 100, FI-00027 FINNISH FOOD AUTHORITY. If you need to use an express, please send to Alvar Aallon katu 5, 60100 Seinäjoki. 5. Complete the customs clearance process. Customs will receive information on the accepted licences directly from the Finnish Food Authority. *Note! The registering company must have an EORI number. To receive the EORI number, see the Customs’ EORI website (https://tulli.fi/en/e-services/search-and-query-services/eori). After receiving the EORI number, send an e-mail message to confirm the user role at tuovi(at)ruokavirasto.fi. Please note that the sender of the e-mail must be an authorised signatory of the company. Significant factors in licence processing include the product volume and weight covered by the licence. In particular, if a shipment contains both timber products and other products, the commercial invoice or the packing list should include an itemisation of the product volumes and weights. Mark the volumes and weights accurately. Please ensure that you submit the licences for processing well in advance of the shipment’s arrival in Finland. The licence must be approved before customs clearance. Description

Upon request, Fimea will issue certificates to pharmaceutical factories supervised by Fimea on compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and good distribution practices (GDP) to pharmaceutical wholesalers if Fimea has determined that they have been implemented during the inspection.

How to use it

The application form can be found on Fimea’s website. The request for a certificate is primarily sent by e-mail to certificates@fimea.fi

Conditions

Requires Fimea to perform and pass an inspection. As a rule, the holder of a marketing authorisation for a medicinal product can apply for an export certificate. However, the certificate may also be applied by a representative of the marketing authorisation holder, whose details must be included in the application. Export certificates shall be issued for medicinal products for human use or for animals that are authorised but not for active substances.

About this service

Description

Apply for an extended permit with this application if you have been granted a continuous fixed-term residence permit (A) on one of the following grounds: returnee, former Finnish citizen, Finnish origin, or need for international protection (you are a quota refugee, you have been granted refugee status or subsidiary protection through applying for asylum, or you have been issued a residence permit on the grounds of need for protection or on a discretionary basis on humanitarian grounds) and you wish to apply for an extension permit on the same grounds. If you received your first residence permit on the basis of family ties, please apply for an extended permit with the form OLE_JATKO_PS.

How to use it

1. Make sure you meet the requirements for a residence permit. You must meet the requirements for granting a permit in order to be issued a residence permit. The requirements must be met throughout the period of validity of the residence permit. 2. Make sure you have all the necessary attachments. You will need various attachments for your residence permit, such as a valid passport and a passport photo. 3. Fill in the application and pay the fee. Fill in the application in the Enter Finland online service. If you are unable to use Enter Finland, fill in a paper application. 4. Prove your identity. Book an appointment to visit a service point of the Finnish Immigration Service to prove your identity. 5. Wait for a decision. The Finnish Immigration Service will contact you if they need additional information for your application. Reply to the request on time.
