How to use it

You can call our crisis hotline at 0800 97899, Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, or send an anonymous message at https://www.tukinainen.fi You can also book an appointment directly with a crisis counselor at: https://tukinainen.fi/varaa-aika/. All of Tukinaisen’s services are free of charge.

About this service

Description

The purpose of this service is to provide free professional assistance to victims of sexual violence and abuse, their loved ones, and those who encounter them in their work. Your questions will be answered by trained professionals who adhere to the ethical principles of Tukinaiset and PuhEet (the Advisory Board for Ethical Principles in Telephone and Online Support). Messages are answered on weekdays as quickly as possible, with a response time of no later than approximately one week after the message is received (any exceptions to this schedule will be announced separately). The time it takes to draft a response depends on both the nature of the question and the volume of traffic on the service. You may stop using the service at any time and delete your username and the conversation history. Your username and conversation history will be automatically deleted two months after the conversation ends, unless you delete the information yourself before then. The service is completely free of charge for users. We do not provide psychotherapy or make diagnoses. The purpose of our service is to provide factual information and support to survivors of sexual abuse or violence, their loved ones, and those who encounter them in their work. We respect the client’s expertise regarding matters related to their own life, as well as their right to make their own decisions. Use of our services is always the client’s responsibility. Emergencies You can call our crisis or legal hotline during on-call hours to receive an immediate response. You can find contact information and on-call hours on our website at www.tukinainen.fi. If your matter is urgent or you feel you need immediate help, we recommend going to your local health center or calling the general emergency number 112. You can also find contact information for providers of rapid assistance at www.apua.info. If you have experienced sexual violence recently (within the last month), contact the SERI support center in your area. You can find the location and contact information for the nearest SERI support center at www.thl.fi

How to use it

You can find the service at: https://www.nettitukinainen.fi/ The service is secure, confidential, and you can ask questions anonymously. Your messages cannot be read by other users; they are visible only to the responder, who—depending on the subject of the question—is a crisis worker or lawyer trained for the task and bound by a duty of confidentiality. The responder also remains anonymous. Note! Please enable email notifications if you wish to be notified when you receive a reply to your message. If you have not received a confirmation message, please check your spam folder. Please note that we cannot retrieve forgotten usernames or passwords. For privacy reasons, they are not stored on the server. If necessary, or if you encounter login issues, you can contact our Crisis Hotline at 0800 97899, Monday through Thursday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
