Description
You can obtain register information on businesses and housing companies from the Trade Register maintained by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH).
The electronic Virre information service provides free access to basic information on businesses. You can also find information free of charge on, for example, whether the company has registered its financial statements and what notifications it has made to the Trade Register. You can use Virre’s notice search to find information about the foundation of a business and changes to their details. The notice search is free of charge.
Further details on businesses are subject to a fee. You can purchase an extract from the Trade Register, a translation extract from Trade Register, corporate rules (e.g. articles of association or partnership agreement) and financial statements from the Virre information service. You can also purchase documents related to a Trade Register notification from the Virre service, such as minutes of general meetings and the Memorandum of Association. You can purchase documents submitted to the Trade Register after November 2014. You can also purchase certificates of registering a company in the Trade Register and having a pending notification to the Trade Register.
If you need information on several businesses, you can make selections in Virre that are subject to a fee. You can also order separate selections from the PRH. Authorities and businesses that need a lot of Trade Register information on a daily basis can conclude an agreement on the selection service.
Trade Register information is also available in a machine-readable format for searching and editing in another application or system. You can view and download notification information in the Trade Register yourself in the open data online service. Trade Register data can also be obtained as XML messages to your application via an interface. These include Virre application services and the financial statements image archives. Authorities and businesses can also search for more detailed Trade Register information in a machine-readable format through the Suomi.fi Data Exchange Layer.

Some services are subject to a fee. Some services require an agreement with the PRH. Information services are available in German and French to a limited extent.
