About this service
Description
An integration plan will be prepared for you by the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services, if
• an initial assessment based on the Integration Act has been carried out for you
• less than 3 years have passed since your first residence permit or residence card was issued or your right of residence was registered.
• you are able to participate in your integration and in measures and services promoting employment.
The purpose of the integration plan is to support the realisation of your aims and your integration into Finland. It usually includes an agreement on Finnish or Swedish language studies that match your study skills and abilities, and on the services that will best support your employment. The plan may also include, for example, an agreement to study literacy in your mother tongue or training in Finnish social studies. The aim is that you have started an integration or employment service within one month of the plan being drawn up.
An integration plan will be prepared for you in cooperation between you and the City of Tampere Employment and Growth Services. The first plan will be drawn up for a maximum of one year and will be refined at agreed intervals. The maximum time for an integration plan is two years. In some cases, the maximum time may, however, be extended by two years.

Conditions
To draw up an integration plan, you must have a valid residence permit or a residence card, or have registered you right of residence. Nordic nationals and their family members are also entitled to an integration plan if they have lived in Finland for less than 3 years and there is a need for such a plan.
The following are not entitled to an integration plan:
• those staying temporarily in Finland with a visa or not requiring a visa (e.g. tourists or seasonal workers)
• those awaiting a first decision on a residence permit
• persons who have the citizenship of another state in addition to Finnish citizenship
• Finnish citizens who are moving back to Finland after an absence lasting years
