Narri's theatre activities - The theatre activities include youth theatre groups, camps, courses, workshops, performances, events, forum theatre and Narri Stage. - Narri has more than a dozen regular youth theatre groups for people aged 9–29. Some of the groups rehearse at Narri Stage's facilities in Sörnäinen, others at youth and cultural centres elsewhere in Helsinki. Read more about Narri's theatre activities on its website. Narri's groups - At the core of Narri’s activities are youth theatre groups. Groups run for the duration of the whole school year from September to the end of May, with registration always taking place in August. - The theatre groups provide training in movement, speech and emotional expression, improvisations and role exercises. During the spring season, most groups prepare their own performance based on their own wishes and ideas. Summer activities - Narri organises a theatre and media camp and theatre courses in the summer. During the week-long camp, which includes overnight stay, the participants work together closely in making theatre and media. On the theatre course, the participants practise theatre for a few hours per day and then give a performance at the end of the week. Registration for Narri's summer courses and camps always starts at the beginning of April. Performances and events, NarriFest - You can visit Narri to see young people's performances throughout the year, but particularly in the spring from April to May. Entry to all group performances at Narri is free. Every spring, Narri also hosts the youth theatre festival NarriFest.

The Urban Workshop is an open facility for everyone, dedicated to DIY culture and creating things by hand. You have a wide range of equipment at your disposal, from 3D printers to sewing machines. About this service

Description

A wide range of arts and crafts for 9–28-year-olds. The activities include group activities, open nights, workshops and independent activities – even during school holidays. The participants can experiment with different materials, such as ceramics, textiles, wood, jewellery and graffiti painting, with the support and encouragement of instructors. The activities also include an opportunity to visit art exhibitions and showcase your own creativity for free in places like Oodi, Kannelmäki and Kulttuurilabra. The participants will receive support from the instructors with the exhibition processes. In addition, workshops are organised once a month at Oodi's Urban Workshop in collaboration with the library. Visual arts and crafts activities are available at Lauttasaari Youth Centre, Pikku Huopalahti Youth Centre, Kontula Youth Centre, Kannelmäki Youth Centre and Kulttuurilabra in Roihuvuori.
