About this service
Description
Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto (LSJH) is a company owned by 18 municipalities. LSJH organises waste management and waste advisory services for the residents on behalf of the municipalities. The public sector service producers as well as the education and health care sector actors are also customers of LSJH.
We manage the transport of packaging waste and biowaste, as well as, in some municipalities, mixed waste, from properties to waste centres and processing facilities. We also play our part in ensuring the security of supply in municipal waste management.
We maintain four waste centres, nine sorting stations, 149 supplementary recycling points, and 127 regional collection points. The mobile sorting station Siira complements our network of permanent collection points.
We promote sustainable development by providing waste advice and environmental education at events, in schools, and at our own visitor centres in Salo and Turku. Identifying and utilizing new innovations is part of our circular economy work.
In our operations, we comply with the waste management regulations and waste fees set by the Southwest Finland Waste Management Board, as well as other official guidelines.
The Service Advisors at LSJH assist the residents in the region in questions regarding waste management via e-mail and phone. Service is provided in Finnish, Swedish and English. The customer service phone number 0200 47470 attends to customers on weekdays from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. You can also contact us by e-mail at asiakaspalvelu@lsjh.fi. It is also possible to book an Environmental Advisor to visit an event at for example a kindergarten, school, condominium or leisure group. The counselling visit is free of charge and is tailored according to the customers needs. Environmental counselling is given in the area within which LSJH operates.
