About this service
Description
You need a permit for extracting land resources (stone, gravel, sand, clay and earth) and for transporting the material from the place of extraction. The amount of soil extracted annually must then be reported through the electronic service. Domestic use does not require a permit for extracting soil, but over 500m3 extraction must be reported, in writing, to the environmental protection authority of the city in question. If the land extraction requires an environmental permit, the land extraction permit and the environmental permit are applied for with the same application, which is submitted in writing, to the address mentioned in the permit application.
How to use it
You can apply for a land extraction permit through the electronic Lupapiste.fi service. Banking codes are required for logging in. The application with an extraction plan must be submitted in two (2) paper copies. If the activity includes rock excavation and crushing, it also requires an environmental permit, which must be applied for at the same time as the land extraction permit as a joint permit.
