Perusopetuksen oppimäärää voidaan yksilöllistää, jos oppilaalla ei ole edellytyksiä suoriutua perusopetuksen jonkin oppiaineen oppimäärästä hyväksytysti. Tavoitteiden tulee olla oppilaalle sopivia ja riittävän haastavia.
Oppimäärän yksilöllistämisestä määrätään erityisen tuen päätöksessä oppiaineittain. Yksilöllistämispäätöstä tarkastellaan tilanteen mukaan ja muutetaan tarvittaessa.
