About this service
Description
The services for veterans include services that support living at home and rehabilitation services for front-line veterans. Disabled veterans may be granted home care and related support services as outpatient services. The client manager will determine what services you need and prepare a plan based on your individual rehabilitation and service needs with you. The client manager will make sure you receive the services you need and monitor your situation in cooperation with other employees who help you. If your situation changes, the account manager will assess your changed needs with you and take care of the services you need. Front-line veteran services are available to front-line veterans living in Finland who participated in Finland’s wars from 1939 to 1945 and who have a front-line military badge, front-line service badge or front-line badge. Outpatient services for disabled war veterans are available to disabled war veterans whose degree of disability is at least 10%. Under the Military Injuries Act, the outpatient services of the wellbeing services country may also be compensated for those who were injured or fell ill during military service or peacekeeping missions before 1991 and whose degree disability is at least 20%. The state grants annual appropriations for organising veteran services. Rehabilitation and services supporting living at home are free of charge for front-line veterans and disabled war veterans.
