The psychiatric examination and rehabilitation ward is a closed ward for adult patients with various mental illnesses who need a longer period of care for examination and rehabilitation. The aim of treatment is to maintain and promote the patient's overall well-being with a focus on mental health. The patient's treatment is guided by an individual treatment plan drawn up by a multidisciplinary team. Patients are supported and guided in their daily activities. The ward has 10 patient beds. Description

The psychiatric out patient clinic is open monday to friday at office hours. We start Your treatment by making You an individual evaluation of the services You need and the length of Your treament together with Your doctor and Your family members if You wish Your family members to be a part of Your treatment. The planning of therapy is allways individually determined according to Your need of help, such as therapeutic conversations with a nurse. The medication also plays an important role in Your treatment. We offer specially designated groups for example those who suffer of instability of emotional life or eating disorder. We offer help for patients with psychoses illnesses. Your out patience care at the clinic consists of both individual and group therapy visits. The following up of Your medication plays an important role in Your treatment as well as practising Your psychosocial skills outside the clinic. We also provide house calls when needed. We also have a psychogeriatric clinic as well as a general hospital psychiatric clinic. Our neuromodulation clinic offers help for psychiatric illnesses with the help of neuromodulation treatments for patients over 16 years. The psychiatric on-call clinic is situated in the Y-house together with coordinated accident and emergency services and is open 24 hours a day.

Description

Psychiatric outpatient clinic for children with mental illness offers treatment and examination for children at ages 0 - 12. We work in close co-operation with the family and the treatment is individually based on the childrens need and the childrens family. The psychiatric outpatience clinic is open monday to friday at office hours. When we have received a referral, we will call the childrens family and make an appointment for the whole family to attend. After the first appointment we make a schedule for the treatment. As treatments we offer both individual and grouptherapy, discussions with the parents, family therapy, crisis therapy and supporting the child and parents in their home environment. If needed, we will also be in contact with school, daycare, social workers and other instanses. The workgroup for small childrens psychiatric treatment offers treatment for children of ages 0 - 5 including their families and if needed even due pregnancy. Our goal is to support and improve the communication between the children and parents. We have a consultant team for the use for personnel of schools and daycare centres. Also other instanses are welcome to contact us if there is reason to worrry about a child. The team participates in meatings with school or other instanses if there is reason to be worried about an underaged child.

How to use it

You will need a referral from a doctor to come to the psychiatric outpatient clinic for children. You can get a referral from base health care or from other healt institutions. The visits are free of charge.

The Adolescent Psychiatric Ward operates as an acute admission ward, offering examinations and treatment for adolescents aged 13-17 together with their families, when primary care and outpatient services are not sufficient. The ward treats both patients who have come with an M1 referral and patients who have come to the ward with so-called regular referrals. Young people can be treated voluntarily or on the basis of the Mental Health Act and can be treated independently of their own will. The young people on the ward are in an emergency period, examination period or treatment period. The treatment is voluntary, but if necessary, the young person can also be treated against their will. The emergency period is the first time on the ward, where a short assessment is made to clarify the young person's situation. Further treatment is planned at a treatment planning meeting. The length of the examination period is determined individually. The period includes a pre-determined objective. During the period, the young person's development, family relationships and mental and physical well-being are assessed. At the end of the study period, a treatment planning meeting is held with the young person and their family to agree on the further treatment. The treatment period is planned together with the young person and the family according to the young person's individual treatment needs. Care plan meetings are held regularly, where we evaluate the young person's situation and care together with the young person and the family. The length of the period varies depending on the young person's care needs.

How to use it

Reasons for seeking treatment may include: low mood, depression, anxiety or fears, isolation at home with no plans for the future, self-destructiveness, compulsive actions and thoughts, eating disorders, and voice, hearing or visual hallucinations.

The services offered by the Psychosocial Center include help in challenging life situations and crises as well as mental health problems. We are also here to help with substance or other addictions. You can contact the Psychosocial Center if you are concerned about your own situation or that of a loved one. Reasons for contacting us may include symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic symptoms, prolonged stress and mental overload, sleep and insomnia, your own or a family member's substance use, gambling, monitoring of driving privileges and referrals for treatment. All services are free of charge regardless of age and no referral is required. For mental health problems, we identify your life situation, symptoms and causes, and help you find new solutions and resources. Care contacts are short-term, often 1-5 visits. Based on the assessment of the need for care, we can also offer a longer-term care contact. In cases related to substance abuse and addiction problems, a targeted treatment plan is drawn up and the possible need for institutional care is assessed. The assessment of substance abuse rehabilitation in the form of institutional care is made in cooperation with social work, and any rehabilitation decision is also made by social welfare.

Description

The psychosocial centre provides outpatient support and treatment for children, young people and adults with psychosocial challenges in both primary and specialist care. Treatment takes the form of individual, couple and family counselling. Medical care is provided by doctors and psychiatrists. The psychosocial centre has offices in Kaskinen, Korsnäs, Kristiinankaupunki, Maalahti and Närpiö. The psychosocial centre is open during office hours from 8 am to 4 pm. After the patient has contacted the nurse for a care assessment, the nurse will carry out a care assessment. Referrals come directly to the unit from, for example, the children's clinic, social care, the health centre and private service providers. When a referral arrives at the unit, the patient's case is discussed by the referral team. The referral team selects a care manager for the patient, who contacts the patient by telephone. An assessment visit is then arranged to make a follow-up care plan. The forms of treatment include individual and group discussions, psychological services such as psychological examinations, contact with a doctor or psychiatrist and various therapeutic methods. The psychosocial centre works with the school, day-care centre, social services or other care providers as necessary. The psychosocial centre has different responsibility teams. The adult team refers patients over 18 years of age and the family team refers patients under 18 years of age. The psychosocial centre also has a substance abuse service, an acute team and a neuropsychiatric team. Substance abuse treatment is available for people suffering from alcohol, drug and other addictions. The aim of substance abuse treatment is to prevent and reduce addiction and to support the addict and their loved ones. Substance abuse treatment provides information, counselling, support and therapy on an outpatient basis. The acute team takes responsibility for patients who are in acute need of acute counselling. The acute team has weekly on-call hours. The neuropsychiatric team responds to consultation needs and carries out ADHD/ADD investigations. Crisis team activities are coordinated by the Psychosocial Centre in Närpiö. Aftercare is provided some days after the traumatic event.

Description

We study and treat patients with various lung diseases in a variety of ways. A large number of our patients come for sleep apnoea investigations and treatment. The outpatient clinic also treats long-term respiratory failure due to various causes with different respiratory support treatments.

How to use it

The outpatient clinic is by invitation only. This means that a doctor’s referral is needed to receive treatment at the outpatient clinic. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a time, but no later than 2 days before the given time. In such cases, we can offer the time to another patient. We will charge a non-attendance fee for a missed appointment. For matters regarding treatment, we recommend contacting us by telephone. We do not respond by email to matters regarding treatment. The use of perfumes should be avoided during outpatient visits due to allergies.

Purotie service home is an assisted living facility with psychosocial activities. Staff are available in the main building at all hours of the day. The unit consists of an efficient group home with nine beds and two independent townhouses in the area, with nine beds in total. The tenants of the townhouse apartments are offered planned home visits and have the opportunity to participate in social interaction and food service at the group home. The aim of the activities at the unit is for the client to achieve as independent a life as possible with participation in society. When moving into the service unit, an individual care and service plan is made together with the client, taking into account the client's physical, mental and social situation. The care and service plan is followed up and evaluated regularly. There is cooperation with other social and health care actors. The supervisors in the unit consist of a service manager, a nurse and six local nurses. The unit uses a rehabilitated approach with the aim of ensuring that the clients have a meaningful everyday life and manage on their own as far as possible. The aim is for the clients to have a daytime activity. In the evening, the unit organizes various activities such as crafts, bingo, walks or other social interaction.

As a rule, a move to the unit starts with a social care contact and the social worker in turn contacting the unit.

Description

The organizer of an event is required to prepare a rescue plan for public gatherings and other events where, due to a large number of participants or any other specific reason, there is a significant risk to personal or fire safety. A rescue plan should be prepared for an event where * at least 200 people are expected to be present simultaneously, * open flames, fireworks, or other pyrotechnic articles, or flammable and explosive chemicals are used as special effects, * evacuation arrangements at the event site deviate from the norm, or * the nature of the event poses a particular risk to people If the safety arrangements and instructions, according to the assessment of the rescue authority, are inadequate, they may be returned to the organizer for supplementation. The Rescue Department monitors the preparation of emergency plans and, if necessary, conducts fire inspections at public events. In the rescue plan for a public event, the dangers and risks associated with the event shall be investigated and assessed. Based on these, safety arrangements during the event are determined, along with accident prevention instructions and guidelines for emergency and dangerous situations that should be provided to the personnel responsible for the event's execution and the audience participating in the event. The local rescue authority should also conduct a fire inspection at the venue if necessary. The local rescue authority, when needed, should inform the police and the health authority responsible for prehospital emergency care about the submitted plan. The use of explosive materials or flammable and explosive chemicals as special effects must be reported in advance to the local rescue authority in accordance with the law on the safety of handling dangerous chemicals and explosive materials. School health care works with pupils, their parents, school personnel and other pupil welfare staff.
