Description
Rauma has four beaches supervised by the environmental health service. The supervised beaches are Bergström Pond, Otanlahti Beach, Sahara Beach and Lapin Beach on the shore of Lake Narvijärvi. Rauma also has smaller beaches, such as Lillonkari, Kaarojärvi, Monna and Noitajärvi beaches. None of the beaches are supervised.
The city has seven beach saunas, which are the beach saunas of Mantereenpää, Noitajärvi, Kaljasjärvi, Narvijärvi (Puusaun), Lillonkari, Tenhonperä and Pitkäjärvi. All beach saunas, except for the Tenhonperä beach sauna, are available for private use during the summer. The saunas of Narvijärvi and Kaljasjärvi are available for rent all year round.
The lakeside saunas are heated for the public from June to August on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The Narvijärvi lakeside sauna (Puusaun) is heated every day. Some of the saunas have a small sauna fee.
