About this service
Description
The advisory service is intended for people on the autism spectrum, their family members and close ones, as well as professionals, authorities, and other parties working with them. The advisory service is impartial, non‑ideological, and respectful of the individual. The aim is to guide the person making contact to the services available in their local area and to identify and present options for, among other things, supporting the functioning, independence, and daily living of a person on the autism spectrum. The purpose is to direct them to the right place to seek further assistance for their situation. The advisory service is not therapy, nor does it extend into individual case management. Contact can be made anonymously. The security of open Internet email cannot be guaranteed, so email may only be used for matters related to general advice. Sending sensitive information via email should be avoided. No personal data of those making contact is collected or stored. For monitoring purposes, we only record the topics of contact and whether the person contacting us is someone on the autism spectrum, a close one, or a professional. All advisors providing the service within the organisation are bound by confidentiality. Discussions are confidential and remain strictly between the person seeking advice and the advisor.
