Adoptio-odotus on omanlaisensa prosessi, jossa arvioiduksi tuleminen ja ennalta-arvaamattoman mittainen odotusaika kuormittavat hakijoita. Adoptiovanhemmuuteen kuuluu erityispiirteitä, joita muut perheet tai ammattilaisetkaan eivät välttämättä aina ymmärrä. Siksi adoptioon liittyvä vertaistoiminta on hyvin tärkeä voimavara.

The House of Adventure is a centre focused on experiential adventure activities, located by the sea at Kallahti, Vuosaari. Adventure activities: kayaking, climbing, cycling, hiking and camps are organised for young people and youth groups from Helsinki, in collaboration with the youth themselves. The activities differ from free adventure in that they are always guided, goal-oriented and safe. The activities support the development of practical and social skills and the confidence to act in nature. The activities take place at the House of Adventure, in its surroundings and in other authentic natural environments. The activities at the House include pedagogical adventure–based group sessions for small groups during the day on 3–4 days a week. On two evenings a week, the centre hosts open small groups, for which participants need a free membership card from the youth services. Instructions for registering for groups and participating in events can be found on the House of Adventure website. The House of Adventure organises small group activities for young people and targeted group sessions for youth groups, such as lower secondary school classes, using adventure education methods. The House of Adventure also provides training, facilities and equipment for those running youth activities.

Before placing an advertisement or notice for road users, you must read the regulations on roadside advertising. The placement of an advertisement might require notification and a permitting decision, compliance with Traficom’s regulations on roadside advertising and notices, requesting a statement and/or applying for a permit. Opasteapuri (sign assistant) will help you select the correct application type (only in Finnish). ### An advertisement placed in the local detailed plan area If the advertisement for road users is placed in a local detailed plan area, the municipality concerned is the competent licensing authority, but you always need to request for a statement from the Economic Development Centre on the location and appearance of the advertisement. ### ### An advertisement placed outside the local detailed plan area If the roadside advertisement is placed outside the local detailed plan area, you must notify the Economic Development Centre of the advertisement subject to the notification obligation as well as receive a permitting decision before placing the advertisement. The advertising structure should primarily be placed outside the road protection area. However, if you wish to place the advertising structure within the road protection area, you must consult the local Economic Development Centre as a neighbouring authority before submitting the advertising notification. Only after you have received a statement from the local Economic Development Centre may you submit the advertising notification, with the statement attached. ### An advertisement on a building or near it Outside the local detailed plan area, you can place an advertisement on a building or near it for on-site activities without the notification or permit procedure, but you must comply with chapter 4 of Traficom’s regulation on roadside advertising and notices. ### Temporary notifications for events A notice of a meeting, press conference, entertainment event, wedding or other similar event or a social, political or other ideological event can be placed on the roadside without the notification or permit procedure, but you must comply with chapter 3 of Traficom’s regulation on roadside advertising and notices. ### ### Temporary guidance sign The use of a temporary guidance sign applies to temporary sales activities, road churches, and very large public events. Such public events include, for example, the Jukola relay, large spiritual summer events, festivals, or housing fairs. A permit from the Economic Development Centre is required to place a temporary guidance sign (G42) for a commercial temporary event.

The statement can be requested by the municipality or by the person setting up the advertising device. Send a free-form statement request with its attachments to kirjaamo.sisa-suomi(at)elinvoimakeskus.fi. ### ### Attach the following information on the request for a statement: * a plan extract * a map that shows the intended location of the advertisement and its placement and orientation in relation to the highway and a picture or description of the characteristics of the advertisement (e.g. material, size, lighting, changing interval of advertisements etc.).
