Apply for Finnish citizenship by submitting a citizenship application if: * you are at least 18 years old and * you meet the requirements for becoming a citizen and * you live in Finland. You must be in Finland to apply for Finnish citizenship.

Make sure you meet the requirements for becoming a Finnish citizen. * You are at least 18 years of age and your identity has been reliably established. * You must have at least satisfactory oral and written skills in one of the following languages: Finnish or Swedish or Finnish Sign Language or Finland-Swedish Sign Language. * You live in Finland and you have lived here long enough. * You are not guilty of any crime and no restraining order has been issued against you. * You have met your payment obligations. * You have sufficient financial resources. ### 2. Make sure you have all the necessary attachments. ### 3. Fill in the application and add your documents. ### 4. Pay for the application. ### 5. Visit a service point to prove your identity. ### 6. Wait for the decision, we will contact you if necessary.
