Описание
The Turku Philharmonic Orchestra (TFO) is a symphony orchestra consisting of 74 musicians. The orchestra performs mainly at the Turku Concert Hall. TFO is the oldest orchestra in Finland and one of the oldest in the world. It is also one of the largest orchestras in Finland. The orchestra’s repertoire is a diverse combination of traditional and contemporary classical music, film and church music, as well as opera productions, themed concerts, chamber music and concerts for children. TFO performs weekly from September to May. If you are unable to attend in person, you can also enjoy some of TFO’s concerts online. The online concerts are free live streams and are also available afterwards in the archive for viewing and listening. In addition, TFO organises open dress rehearsals where you can follow the orchestra’s work, gain insight into the musicians’ daily life and hear the conductor’s final instructions before the evening concert. Dress rehearsals are free of charge for holders of the Culture Card and Kimmoke wristband, as well as for daycare and school groups. Registration for rehearsals must be made in advance on the orchestra’s website.
