Описание
A Product Contact Point provides companies and other economic operators with information on the product regulations applied in another member state of the European Economic Area. The service lowers a company’s threshold to initiate operations in the market of another member state, and enables the company to avoid the negative impacts of legislative differences. The Product Contact Point provides you with information on the product regulations established for a certain product in a specific member state. The Product Contact Point offers information on regulations restricting or banning the market access of a product that is lawfully marketed in another member state. These regulations are exceptions to the principle of mutual recognition, according to which products marketed lawfully in one member state shall also gain access to the markets of other member states. The national product regulations of a member state can cover: - the qualities required of a product, such as * the level of quality * performance * safety * measurements - requirements set for a product, concerning issues such as * the trade name * terminology and symbols * testing and test procedures * packages and labelling - requirements established to protect consumers or the environment that affect the lifecycle of the product after placing it on the market (such as use, recycling, reuse or disposal), if these requirements may have a significant impact on the product’s * assembly * nature or * marketing. The Product Contact Points provide information upon request on, for example: * the product regulations applied in a member state to a specific product type * whether or not the member state requires a prior authorisation for a product * the principle of mutual recognition * the contact information of a member state’s competent authorities * the legal remedies available in a member state for disputes between competent authorities and enterprises. If a company needs information of the valid product regulations of a member state other than Finland, the company shall contact the Product Contact Point of said member state. The Product Contact Point offers advice free of charge. The Product Contact Point will reply to questions within 15 days of receiving the request for information. The Product Contact Point does not participate in the investigation of actual cases.
