Measures requiring a landscape-work permit: • earthwork altering the landscape • felling trees • other similar measures You only need a permit for a local detailed plan area or a building ban area, as well as in a local master plan or detailed shore plan area, if the plan so specifies. A permit is not required in the local master plan area, in an agriculture and forestry dominated designated area (felling of trees), or for work necessary for implementing the local master plan or local detailed plan, or for work required or granted in accordance with the building or action permit, or for measures with minor impacts. The permit may be applied for in writing or electronically. The electronic permit application is in the Lupapiste.fi service. Permit application - Landscape-work permit is applied by the owner or holder of the area. - The application form is completed in one copy, signed by all holders of the area. - The permit application is submitted to the Technical Centre customer service To prove that the applicant is the holder of the measure area, one of the following documents is needed: certificate of registered ownership, copy of the contract of sale, copy of the rental agreement, or other similar copy document, the copy must be validated by two persons. - If the applicant is not the sole owner of the measure area, also a power of attorney from the other shareholders is required. Notification of application and hearing the neighbours Neighbours must be heard regarding the project. The applicant may carry out the hearing with a form obtained from building supervision, otherwise the hearing is carried out by an authority, who will charge a fee. Plans in three series The drawings must be in line with the National Building Code of Finland, in size A2 and folded into A4.
