The internal medicine outpatient clinic is a referral outpatient clinic. Patients can be referred to the outpatient clinic for examinations for medical reasons, diagnosis and treatment. If a patient has an acute need for medical treatment, they must contact the accident & emergency (A&E) department directly. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a time, but no later than 2 days before the given time. In such cases, we can offer the time to another patient. A non-attendance fee of € 50.80 will be charged for a missed appointment.

The Maternity Clinic monitors the progress of the pregnancy and the health of the baby and mother after childbirth. Maternity clinics also offer support in becoming a parent. You should make your first appointment with the clinic as soon as you know you are pregnant. During the Maternity Clinic visits, the necessary examinations are carried out, the fetal heart beat is monitored and the pregnant woman’s physical and mental well-being is looked after. If problems occur during pregnancy, the doctor or nurse will refer the pregnant woman for a follow up appointment at the maternity outpatient clinic at a local hospital. It is possible for a pregnant woman to have two ultrasound screening tests during the pregnancy. The maternity clinic aims to identify as early as possible what level of support a pregnant woman and her family require. Pregnant women and their families will be offered other support they may need, for example, social or substance abuse services. Family coaching is provided to families expecting their first child. The aim is to prepare the family for childbirth, breastfeeding, childcare, upbringing and parenting. In addition, the goal is to strengthen parents’ knowledge and skills about childcare, parenting, health, and healthy habits. The Maternity Clinic also provides guidance in applying for parental benefits, and issues the certificates needed for these. If a child is to be born outside of marriage, the father of the child can recognise his paternity during the pregnancy at the maternity clinic. The pregnant woman's partner or other support person is always welcome to attend the clinic with her.

Once you have had a positive pregnancy test, book a telephone appointment at the Maternity Clinic. Book preferably via Citizen's health service, appointment booking. We will call you back during the day to book your first appointment. Alternatively, you can call the unit-specific phone numbers during telephone hours. Digital appointments: * First contact by phone * Telephone appointment with your Maternity Clinic nurse * Telephone appointment to book a home visit with your own Maternity Clinic nurse When you book an online appointment, we will call you back on the chosen day.

Pregnant women and their families are entitled to use the services provided by maternity clinics.

You must cancel your appointment no later than the previous working day. For late cancellations or no-show appointments, we withhold the right to charge a fee according to our current pricing policy. The fee is charged to everyone over the age of 18. No fee is charged, if there is a valid reason for not cancelling the appointment, such as a medical certificate.
