Fill in the form and send it to Education Division’s archive when ordering - copies of certificates from comprehensive school (from 1996 onwards) - copies of certificates from upper secondary school (from 2006 onwards) 1. Send the form as a secure email attachment to arkisto.kasvatusjakoulutus@hel.fi OR by mail to Education Division’s archive P.O. Box 51300, 00099 City of Helsinki Download the form to your computer before completing it. How the process works 1. Education Division will receive and process the order 2. When the order is ready the orderer will be notified in the asiointi.hel.fi website. 3. The copy can be picked up at Education Division’s archive (Teollisuuskatu 23, Vallila, 00510 Helsinki) or sent by cash on delivery.

In flexible comprehensive education (JOPO), student learns both at school and at workplaces. On-the-job learning is an important part of the studies. The studies also incorporate study visits, excursions and overnight field trips. In addition to the teacher, a youth worker also works with the group. The maximum group size is 12 students. Flexible comprehensive education is open to students aged 14 or older in grades 7–9 who have had challenges with school and would benefit from hands-on learning in a smaller group. Applicants must have at least one year left of their comprehensive education. In Helsinki, JOPO activities are organised at four Finnish-language and one Swedish-language comprehensive school, so in most cases, students seeking to join one of these groups must transfer to a different school.

The Finnish-language schools: The parent or guardian should submit the application via Wilma. The Swedish-language schools: The parent or guardian should fill in a PDF application. The application is submitted to the pupil's own school. Link to the PDF application: https://www.hel.fi/static/liitteet-2019/KasKo/lomakkeet/flexklassen.pdf Any certificates of work experience learning periods (TET) or other work experience should be attached. In addition to this, the school will write a recommendation for admission to the JOPO group. Applications to JOPO groups are primarily accepted early in the year; you can apply from the beginning of January until mid-April. Vacant spots may be filled at other times, as well. All applicants are interviewed. The comprehensive education district manager decides on the admissions.
