Описание
The Child Welfare Clinic monitors a child’s health, development and growth, as well as provides parents with guidance and counselling. At the clinic, the child will receive vaccines compliant with the vaccination programme.
During the child’s first year, the child and the parent visit the Child Welfare Clinic once a month for the first six months, then less frequently, depending on the needs of the family. At least 15 health examinations are organized for all children.
The Child Welfare Clinic aims to identify the need for support of the child and family as early as possible. The Child Welfare Clinic cooperates if necessary, and in agreement with the parents, with for example early childhood education and care, social welfare, mental health and substance abuse services and child welfare. If a child or family needs special support or the child's development needs to be examined in more detail, we refer them to the right service.
The child's dental health is checked at least every second year.
