Turun seudun Kehitysvammaisten Tuki ry organizes a wide range of recreational and leisure activities for people of all ages with special needs, as well as for their families. The aim of the activities is to provide enjoyable time together, new experiences, and opportunities for hobbies and relaxation in everyday life.
The program includes, for example, excursions, cruises, and cultural events. The recreational and leisure activities are designed so that everyone can participate according to their own wishes and abilities. Instructors and volunteers are present to provide support, ensuring that everyone feels safe and comfortable.
### Picnic Day Cruise
Once a year, our association organizes the traditional picnic day cruise From Turku to Maarianhamina and back. During the cruise, participants enjoy a pleasant day at sea with good food, entertainment, and time spent together.
### Summer Trips
Every summer, our association organizes different excursions both to nearby destinations and further away within the Southwest Finland region. On these trips, participants get to explore new places, enjoy the summer, and spend a nice day together with others. The program varies from trip to trip – it may include visits to nature sites, attractions, or cultural events. The summer trips provide experiences, recreation, and enjoyable time together in a relaxed atmosphere.
### Tärsky´s summertrips “KesäTärskyt”
Tärsky meeting place organizes various excursions and outdoor events every year between June and August, called “KesäTärskyt.” These bring variety to the summer and offer opportunities to spend time together also during the holiday season.
KesäTärskyt are held twice a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The trips are directed to local destinations in the Turku area, such as parks, beaches, seaside spots, and different attractions. Each trip has its own character – sometimes enjoying the peace of nature, other times playing games and doing fun activities together.
The activities are open to all visitors of Tärsky, and participation is easy and low-threshold. The most important things on these trips are spending time together, recreation, and enjoying the summer together with others.

### 1. Follow the association’s and Tärsky’s announcements
* Check the website, member newsletter, or social media channels of Turun seudun Kehitysvammaisten Tuki ry, where information is shared about upcoming trips, cruises, Summer Tärsky events, and other activities.
* Pay attention to the dates, times, participation fees (if any), and registration instructions.
### 2. Choose an event that interests you
* Picnic day cruise (organized once a year)
* The association’s summer events (organized in Southwest Finland during the summer)
* Summer Tärskyt (organized from June to August, on Wednesdays and Thursdays)
* You can choose more than one event according to your interests.
### 3. Register for the event
* Read the event- or trip-specific registration instructions.
* Contact the association or the Tärsky meeting place (by phone or email).
* When registering, provide:
* your name and contact information
* if you need special assistance or support during the event
* if you will be accompanied by an interpreter, assistant, or other support person
* your food allergies (when registering for Summer Tärsky)
Avgiftsinformation
Our association’s picnic cruises and summer excursions are paid events. Participation fees and payment methods are always specified in the event-specific advertising and registration instructions.
KesäTärsky trips are usually free of charge. In some cases, for example if the trip includes entrance fees or other costs, participants may be asked to pay a small contribution. Any exceptions and fees are always communicated in advance to those who have registered for the trips.
